Producing a site or a printed piece of work requires certain steps occur for complete success. Throughout the years we’ve adjusted and fine-tuned our process to be as concise and optimal as possible. From gathering information from a client, to delivering a project exactly as expected, the process ensures all parties involved know exactly what is going on with the project and what is required of everyone.

Below is an outline of the Five Phase Process we use on all projects

Phase One – Define

DefineWe strive to understand our clients’ business and brand. Together we determine the immediate and long-term needs, the competitive landscape, and any technical hurdles that must be overcome. With our clients, we mutually agree on objectives, project milestones and create a strategic plan of action. In this phase we also establish time lines and a detailed work plan.

Phase Two – Draft

DraftWhat will the solution be? What will it do? How will it navigate? How many pages will it be? Once we understand the objectives, we define the functional, technical, and creative requirements. We document them in the form of hierarchical maps and work with you to refine them. Also, we build a simple working model, or pre-alpha, to test the architecture concept and ensure that the project works the way you want it to.

Phase Three – Design

DesignOnce the structural basics are in place, the project can begin to develop a look. The majority of the work done in this phase is developed in Adobe Photoshop® so that we can accurately conceptualize and demonstrate the project. Ordinarily we produce three composites, all of which meet the requirements discussed in the previous phases. Together, we discuss the designs and plan any necessary refinements. The result is an accurate rendering of the finished product, ready for implementation.

Phase Four – Develop

DevelopWhen the design templates have been approved we can then begin to cut the images into working HTML, CSS, text, individual images and other necessary elements to create the site. We integrate the project with the client’s existing systems if necessary. Then we thoroughly test and quality assure the deliverable and make sure your organization fully understands how to manage and maintain it.

Phase Five – Deliver

DeliverFor a period after launch, we will monitor and analyze how the solution performs against the success criteria we defined in Phase 1. We also complete documentation for the project and present our thoughts on how to approach the next generation of the solution. We can also design and execute a marketing and promotion plan, conduct training sessions, or help staff your organization to support the new solution.
